This original ballet, inspired by the traditional Christmas Pageant story by Barbara Robinson, is the story of two very different worlds colliding. On one side, we meet Alice Bradley, a kindhearted young ballerina, her playful brother Junior, and their family’s warm, structured life centered around their dance academy and church community. On the other side are the Herman children—rough, scrappy, and orphaned—whose lives are filled with hardship, bickering, and survival.

When the Hermans stumble into the academy, chaos follows, but so does an unexpected chance for transformation. As their annual Christmas Ballet approaches, tensions rise between the polished academy dancers and the wild Herman kids who have now taken over the project. Yet, through rehearsals, missteps, and the telling of the story of Jesus’ birth, both groups begin to discover that Christmas is not about perfection, but about love, grace, and the power of redemption, allowing all to meet Jesus with fresh eyes.
 

In the end, what begins as the “worst” Christmas ballet may just become the most meaningful one of all.
